Sensitive, unobtrusive support during your big moment
English-Speaking Interpreter for Wedding Vows in Germany

How beautiful that you're here!

Your interpreters, translators, and ceremony speakers for your civil wedding ceremony.
Hi, I'm Manu — and together with my team, we're the faces behind "gefühlsbetont."
As experienced German–English interpreters, translators, and wedding ceremony speakers, we’re here to support you in Salzburg, Berchtesgaden, Munich and far beyond.
Our passion is to shape your civil ceremony or wedding celebration with words that are unique, heartfelt, and unforgettable. Words that reflect who you are as a couple.
With us, you won’t hear clichés or recycled love quotes. Nothing is generic or copied. Your civil wedding ceremony becomes a true highlight: filled with happy tears, goosebumps, and moments your guests will always remember.
Happiness. Love. Joy.
These are the feelings at the heart of your wedding day.
Our job as interpreters and wedding speakers is to turn those feelings into personal, emotional words that deeply touch you and your guests. With heart, experience, and dedication, we make your day truly one of a kind.
Why is an interpreter necessary for your civil ceremony?
If one of you does not understand German well enough, the registry office will usually require an interpreter. This ensures that both partners truly understand every legally relevant question and every explanation before you say “yes.” This is not just a formality. It is a requirement for your marriage to be legally valid. I am very happy to take on this role for you.
Two options:
Pure interpreting of the official part of your registry office ceremony.
The translation of the official part, complemented by a personal and emotional speech tailored to you.

Interpreting of the civil ceremony only
Interpreting of the civil ceremony only
You can book me as your interpreter at the registry office. I will not create any written text of my own. On the day of your civil ceremony I interpret the registrar’s speech and the official record of your marriage, which the registrar usually provides to me a few days in advance.
What is included in the fee:
I handle all coordination with the registry office in advance.
I request the official ceremony wording from the registrar, translate it into English in good time, and prepare the live interpreting for your wedding day.
I align with the registry office on the running order for the day.
On the day itself I accompany you to the registry office, interpret live sentence by sentence, and make sure that both partners can understand everything.
Please note: This does not include the organization or coordination of your documents that may be required by the registry office for your marriage.
Fee: 390 € including VAT, plus travel and transport costs to the registry office.
If you would also like a personal and emotional ceremony, bilingual or single-language, where your story is told, you are welcome to add this to your booking.
First impressions on our wedding speeches

Emotional fireworks at your civil ceremony
No more cookie-cutter civil ceremonies.
What do we mean? In most cases, registrars follow a standardised script that leaves little space for personal words, your story, or the uniqueness of your love. With this service, we change exactly that.

This package includes:
Coordination with the registry office regarding how long your personal speech can be
A detailed pre-wedding meeting (2–4 hours, depending on the length of the speech) to get to know you and your story
A short individual call (about 10 minutes) with each of you
Advice on possible contributions from family or friends and on a meaningful symbolic ritual
Guidance on the structure and content of the ceremony
Support with music selection
Ongoing contact and communication via email and phone
Planning and designing the ceremony according to your wishes
Writing a fully personalised speech
Leading your ceremony, approximately 25- 45 minutes
Preparation and follow-up for the ceremony
What’s included in this package?
How much does a personal speech at the registry office cost?
What does the price depend on?
It depends on the length your speech is allowed to have. The key factors are the registry office’s guidelines on speech length and, of course, your budget.
Fee for a personal speech at the registry office, including interpreting of the civil ceremony:
from €690
for a ceremony of around 45 minutes up to €2,190
including 19% VAT, plus travel and transport costs to the registry office
The most beautiful registry offices
The Red Hall (inside Schloss Ismaning)
The Red Hall is a stage for the civil ceremony: tall windows, crystal chandeliers, walls adorned with antique-style figures—solemn, warm, and beautifully photogenic. Inside, you sit close with your nearest and dearest; outside, lawns and fountain basins await the first hugs after the kiss. Rule of thumb for guest numbers: about 18 seats in the hall, usually under 30 guests in total.
Munich wedding venue
Schloss Suresnes (Schwabing)
A pastel-yellow jewel between the English Garden and Alt-Schwabing: wander through the park of the Catholic Academy and you’ll discover the elegant Werneckschlößl with formal beds, boxwood hedges, and a quiet roundel. A ceremony here feels like a little urban escape into a courtly world—baroque, intimate, right in the middle of Munich yet screened from the bustle. Only a few ceremonies are possible per date; because demand is so high, places are allocated by lottery. Typical size: up to about 41 guests.
Jenner – Mountain Station (Schönau am Königssee)
You ride the new Jennerbahn skyward, step into the bright ceremony room high above Lake Königssee—and suddenly the mountain skyline frames your rings. Indoors: glass frontage, space, silence. Outdoors: an Alpine panorama for that first kiss in the light. Guest guideline: up to about 40 people in the mountain-station ceremony room. Weddings generally take place on Tuesdays—perfect for a relaxed trip on the cable car.
Mattsee – Schloss Mattsee (Tassilo Hall) & Castle Courtyard
Warm, gleaming parquet floors, historic ceiling paintings, and the soft blue of the lake just outside: a civil ceremony here feels grand without losing its personal touch. Guest guideline (Tassilo Hall): up to about 120 people; outdoor ceremonies in the castle courtyard are also possible.

Hi, I'm Manu
YOUR EXPERT FOR A UNIQUE AND UNFORGETTABLE WEDDING CEREMONY
